YESTERDAY: The Senate voted 65 to 32 against the American public's Right to Know what's in their food. This is a deep betrayal of America's mothers, our public trust and the growing food movement.

Democracy seems simple when they teach us about it in civics class in grade school or even high school. The people of America are supposed to have been born with certain "unalienable rights" are laid down in our Constitution by brave men and women who fought against the abuses of colonial power, a corrupt Parliament and a King who ruled with monopolistic power.

As they say: "Those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it." It appears that in Congress, our elected officials are now so corrupt that they believe that can deny us our rights for a simple pile of campaign contributions and they think there's nothing we WILL do about it.

As far I can remember, our nation's Declaration of Independence says clearly:

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.–That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men (and Women), deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed."

Nowhere does it say that our individual rights, our personal liberties shall be surrendered by corrupt politicians who craft backroom deals with corporate lobbyists to sanction unfettered profits. This is a bitter pill to swallow in a representative democracy, where 9 out of 10 Americans support Mandatory GMO labeling, not worthless QR Codes that only further hide GMOs at the grocery store!

America was born in liberty, our rights were not won easily and We will not take yesterday's Senate vote in Silence!

With each generation our liberty must be reborn and our rights must be protected.

Last night 65 Senators just voted to kill Vermont's historic GMO labeling bill and – and TONIGHT THEY COULD ARE EXPECTED TO DO IT AGAIN

Now, because of this procedural cloture vote yesterday, which passed by a margin of 65 to 32, there will be less than 30 hours of possible debate on the Senate floor, while Senate leaders Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) and Pat Roberts (R-KS) are scrambling to round up the votes today so they can pass this corrupt bargain tonight, before they go on vacation once again tomorrow.

That's right, while we're fighting for our basic democratic rights to know if our food has been genetically engineered in a laboratory, your Senators are siding with Monsanto and desperate to rush of for another vacation!

It's time to remind these Senators WHO THEY actually work FOR – America or MONSANTO?

Republicans and Democrats Climb into Bed to Protect Monsanto and Big Food!

Remember, Republicans control the Senate, but it takes TWO Corrupt Parties to Craft A Backroom Deal Like the  Stabenow-Roberts bill supported by the Monsanto-Whole Foods QR Code Cartel!

The current legislation from Senators Debbie Stabenow and Pat Roberts is so corrupt and poorly written that last week the FDA issued a statement on the bill confirming that the definition of "bioengineered" is so broad that it won't cover any GMOs currently on the market. You know, the ones sold by Monsanto that are genetically engineered to be resistant to Roundup.

That's right, America’s Senators would rather offer a corporate bailout to Monsanto, the company whose bestselling weedkiller contains glyphosate, which the world's leading cancer experts at the World Health Organization linked to cancer in humans and lab animals!
